Hurricane Wilma Eyewall Replacement Cycle

Hurricane Wilma Eyewall Replacement Cycle

The guys at MIMIC (Morphed Integrated Microwave Imagery at CIMSS) have produced a beautiful animated radar loop for Hurricane Wilma.  It is a 2-day period showing "eyewall replacement cycles" occurring.  If you don’t know what these are, check here (www.thestormtrack.com).  This is a very technical discussion, but very thorough and good.

WARNING!  The MIMIC link takes you to a HUGE file.  If you don’t have high speed internet access, I don’t recommend you click it.  Enjoy.
