I’ve seen travel blogs before, but this one is the most well refined that I’ve seen. 71miles.com is a weekend trip type of site, focused on California trips right now. Each entry features an easy weekend trip with hotel and restaurant recommendations, as well as the activities that could be completed.
I reviewed the Big Sur entry, and was impressed to see some of the highlights from our 2006 trip to Big Sur show up in 71miles also. These included the coastal waterfall at Julia Pfieffer Burns State Park, the Big Sur Roadhouse and the hidden but wonderful beach at Pfeiffer Beach.
Check it out. It is the best use of a blogging platform that I’ve ever seen.
