Reboot Your Brain with a Caffeine Nap

Reboot Your Brain with a Caffeine Nap

I’ve been extolling the “caffeine nap” for a while now, much to the disbelief of many family and friends.  I now have scientific evidence to back me up.  HA!

I’ve found that on those extremely early a.m. flights out of John Wayne Airport, a large cup o’ joe followed quickly by a nap on the flight gives me one heck of a good rest.  For some reason, I just feel better after this kind of nap, much better than after a mid-afternoon nap…at home of course!  Here’s the gist:

Scientists say that a successful midday nap depends on two things: timing and (no kidding) caffeine consumption. Experiments performed at Loughborough University in the UK showed that the sleep-deprived need only a cup of coffee and 15 minutes of shut-eye to feel amazingly refreshed.

Yet another reason why I like coffee so much!  Here’s the link to the larger blog post:  Sleep: Reboot Your Brain with a Caffeine Nap –  via Lifehacker
