Loreto, Baja Sur, Mexico is our favorite Mexican town (okay, we’ve only been there, Cancun and Cozumel, but who’s counting?), and it has received a deserving write up at CNN.com.

From the wonderful small town life and attractions to the offshore islands, Loreto has a lot to offer to the intrepid traveler looking for Mexican life off of the beaten path. 

This isn’t 5 star all-inclusive life here folks.  This is  “walking dirt roads across dry steam beds to get to town, outdoor eating in  local taquerias and renting the local fishing boat for a day” type of travel.  Just what Mardi and I love!  As the Travel Channel says, don’t be a tourist, be a traveler!
