A Local’s View of the 2010 Winter Olympics

jonathan.hasson February 12, 2010

With the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony tonight, the eyes of the world will be focused on Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia for the next couple of weeks.  The airtime will extensive, and we’ll get our fill, and more, of the heartwarming, stories behind the athletes…blah, blah, blah.

So, have you ever wondered what the Olympics are like from a local’s perspective?  If you want to see an insiders view of the Olympics, head on over to the Whistler Runner blog.  Authored by Munny,  a self described “true good old Canadian endurance junky”, he is the “other half” of a work colleague and friend.  The Whistler Runner blog will provide an inside look at several of the Olympic venues.  Munny is an Olympic volunteer and so far, has provided some intriguing behind the scenes videos and images of the building of several venues.

So, if you, like me, enjoy the Winter Olympic games, go check out Munny’s site and get the feel from a local.
