Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter have formed a new Baptist organization, the New Baptist Covenant. It’s not surprising, but the fact that both say that they formed this new group to counter the negative perceptions of the Baptist faith only serves to do harm to the image of Baptists. Now, we will be seen as any other protestant group that will bend to the pressures of the world rather than stand for the core beliefs of our faith.
