Yes, we have a new baby in the house. Our adoption was final yesterday. Her name is Abby, and she is adorable!

For at least the last 6 years, Sarah has been begging for a dog. In fact, for Christmas 2003, she asked for either a dog or a baby sister. She got the sister.
Abby is an 8 week old Australian Shepherd. Her coloring is blue merle with some copper points. She’s AKC registered, coming from a registered pair “Tex” and “Abby”. Yes, her mother also is named Abby. Being a herding dog, she’s already trying to “herd” Clara when they are playing.
Needless to say, the girls are beside themselves with excitement. (I think Mom and Dad are pretty excited too!)

Yep, fun times! Just like having a new baby in the house. Scheduling the feedings and potty breaks outside, as well as getting up a couple of times in the night to go out to the potty.
Fun times indeed!
